A HUGE thank you to everyone that submitted and everyone we published, we hold all of your work in high esteem and are very grateful to you all for the quality of writing on the site.
It was very difficult deciding on a winner, but after many arguments we agreed that the short story, Emoticon, by Max Saddleton should receive the prize of £50 and a Fake Press branded T-shirt.
Both as a critique of how our lives are increasingly being dictated by electronic signals and devices as well as a challenging and experimental text, Emoticon was a joy to read.
While the picture Max painted of the future was particularly dark, the future of The Fake Press looks bright and we couldn't be happier with the response we've received.
We will continue to provide a platform for young and aspiring writers and wait eagerly for your future submissions.
